# Xbox One and Plex Media connectivity?

I downloaded the Plex app for my Xbox One. I signed up. I can’t figure out how to have the Plex connect to my external hd to add my files to the library? It only shows the Plex media server. How do I add the server for the files connected to the Xbox?

The Plex client does not play local files, only files served by a Plex Media Server. This is true of all platforms, not just Xbox One.
