Hello. I’d like to know if the xbox one app (on xbox one s) can direct play 4k HDR 10bit mkv movies with external art subtitles.
Currently all versions of the Xbox One can direct play 4K material, only the original version (the non s) cannot output 4K material.
While HDR material will direct play, it currently will not trigger HDR output mode on the Xbox One. This typically will cause HDR movies to appear washed out with the color.
For the subtitles I am not familiar with art, if you mean srt then they should play. If they are indeed art I don’t believe they would be supported for direct play on the Xbox One app.
Thanks for the reply. I misstyped the sub format. I mean srt non art! So the only proble is hdr then. Is it going to be supported?
