Fixed don’t use ethernet use wifi on Xbox one and Iv got no issues now with Plex
Same here. I'm surprised that my ROKU 2XS can stream without a single issue. The Plex app on the Xbox One will freeze every 4 minutes or so. This happens once you are late into the movie. I too have had issues with dimming. I'm not sure which is worse. Hoping they can get these issues sorted out. I do like the UI on the Xbox One.

I use the Xbox One on wireless and wired and have the dimming issue on both. I use to have the upstairs wired but again had the same issue all relates back to the latest 'preview' update.
I can confirm using the xbox one on Wireless solves the issue. Since I switched to Wireless I have had no issues.
still had no issue since going Wireless
My Xbox One has been on wireless the whole time and I keep having the freezing.
I get the unexpected Error
Xbox One & Mac are on wireless
People that report this problem mostly have the server installed in a Mac. Same here. A couple of days ago, I changed the setting on my Mac mini to " prevent it from sleeping even when the monitor is off " - . Basically I do not let it sleep but only allow the hard drive to sleep. My Plex seems working without that unknown error interruption. I did some research on the Internet and I found lots of complaints over the OSX Yosamite’s sleep problem. I use a long Lan cable not wifi.
It’s too complicated to dig around. Hope this works for now. The only problem I have now is occasionally when I launch Plex again, there are two circles spinng on the screen and it gets stuck. I have to restart the Xbox one.
Still on wireless no issues for weeks. I have been using the xbox as my daily drier for awhile now without issue..
It looks like this thread might be describing two separate issues.

I'm running Plex on FreeNAS so clearly this is a widespread issue, although maybe it's only affecting unix-based systems (which is still a pretty wide scope!). I had the same issue on unRaid too when I was using that.
It would be nice if this issue got resolved. My movies freeze about an hour and 45 minutes in…I recently cleared a bunch of space on my SSD still no luck. It does seem to be the larger files however 10+gb…not sure why. My system is wired and I can’t speak to the “wireless” fix. But regardless, it should not matter considering wired is better anyways.
Sorry you're having trouble with this. We're going to improving the error messaging and logging in a future release to try and make this stuff easier to fathom. Details on the file you're trying to play (format, size and quality setting on your xb1) are all helpful.
Thanks.
This thread didn't have any closure either:

Same topic. I usually just switch to the Xbox Media Player and stream from there if possible when this starts happening...performance seems to be much better as well. You just lose out on the better looking interface.
So same points as an 'answer', I'm afraid. We're definitely going to improve the error messages/logging to make diagnosis of this stuff easier. In the meantime file details and logs would be good. Thanks!
I don't have access to my server right now, but in terms of the types of files this happens on... To me it'll happen on literally anything (from standard def AVIs to high def MKVs). I think so far it has covered all bases for the types of media format I have.
Also - this issue apparently doesn't happen on the Xbox Media Player app. I have heard it thrown around before that Plex for Xbox One is effectively just an interface for the existing DLNA functionality rather than being a full on client (and it adds it's own little UI overlay etc), but fundamentally, it just uses the Xbox One DLNA capabilities. Am I correct? If so that implies to me that this isn't necessarily a specific playback issue but is more down to the parts of Plex for Xbox One that are unique.
Or, maybe, the client is just really easily disgruntled if it doesn't like something about its connection to the server and decides to kill the current playing session (even if it was unrelated to the actual playback).
Just in case this causes confusion elsewhere: the app isn't a wrapper/interface around the DLNA functionality - it's a dedicated Plex client.
We don't have the opportunity to direct play everything the Xbox Media Player can - so it's worth noting if the Plex app is having to transcode the media from PMS and this is causing problems. Your PMS log will show this.
Thanks for the info!
