You Don't Have any Connected Servers

I recently moved my Synology disk station to a new router, so it was assigned a new IP address. When I opened PLEX on from the server app, it gave some type of error related to the server (I think it said the library was not available) and gave me the option of removing it. I did remove it.

After that, my library from the NAS does not show up in PLEX.

When I try to grant a user access to a library, I get the message “You don’t have any connected Servers

I’m not sure how I can add the server to the library.
Does anyone have any recomendations?

@JYoder2017

Are you opening the NAS by its new LAN IP address ?

Recommendation here is:

  1. Open the Synology’s Control Panel
  2. Network settings
  3. Network Interface – > the active ethernet port
  4. Make certain the setting – and most importantly the DNS are correct.

Thanks for your response.

I can access the Plex application through the server, its just that the Plex application does not seem to have the server associated with it or my account. I know very little about Plex, but I was surfing the treads, and it seems like this might be a token type issue, but not sure what to do to check that out.

Plex Media Server installed version? Available via Synology Package Center.
DSM version 6 or 7? Synology Control Panel → Info Center → General
Synology Model?

Use a incognito/private browser window (to avoid conflict with plug-ins).

Point your browser directly at the IP address of the Synology, instead of using app.plex.tv.

For example, http://192.168.1.2:32400/web ← Use the real IP address of your NAS.

Is your server visible and can you access its settings?

If so, then as @ChuckPA mentions, verify the IP address, default gateway, and DNS settings of the Synology NAS. If you make any changes, stop/restart Plex Media Server via Synology Package Center.

Did you access the server by its LAN IP or did you use the QuickConnect button or a FQDN ?
