I juste launched the beta version of "LetMeStream" :)
This service provides a full plex-instance (a true server) linked to your cloud. You can link onedrive, dropbox, put.io, and hive.im, to directly browse and manage your media files.
The plex instance can transcode (of course) and stream as a "normal" plex server.
Imagine: 10TO on onedrive, streamed with plex :)
And if you share your libraries with a friend who has a LetMeStream account, your server cpu will not be used (it will be your friend cpu which will transcode).
LetMeStream includes an automatic ftp-transfert, allowing you to move files stored in a ftp to your cloud account.
The website can have some translation/wording issues, i'm working on.
I have a membership since a few days and i am very pleased with LetMeStream. I would recommend it to everyone who is thinking about a cloud based Plex server!
The media playback works great, also when i wanted to add a plugin to my rented instance after a mail it was installed in a very short time, so the service is also great!! The most useful plugin (in my opinion) Trakt was installed by default.
hello registered since yesterday I received my access quickly nothing to say about it.
but after worries to recognize the clouds I sent 3 mails I received one written response with it:
Hello,
What stage problem?
Regards,
Gregory LetMeStream
So your can set my concern with clouds then can we update plex on letmestream if so how?
and can we use secure connections
thank you
I’m trying this service, but it’s for those who don’t have a Plex server. If you already have a server Plex how do you make a good connection with a cloud storage?
If you want to keep your plex server and don’t want another one, letmestream isn’t the solution
For the others, you can now link your bitba.se account (https://bitba.se , with unlimited storage ) to a full plex server (and you can add rss feeds to bitba.se, too)
I dont understand what you are offering:
Is it a full plex serve with transcoding capabilities in the cloud and the space used for file is the one from your provider?
If so, what is the limit for the transcoding?
Plex servers on LetMeStream aren’t available (letmestream has developped an alternative media center).
I will close this topic because not plex-related.
