OK, Over the past few months (think since around mid Aug, around when update 2.4.19 was done) that was an update to plex which has been driving me crazy.
On my plex media server I have 4 main libraries, animated series, family movies, other movies and TV Shows.
Under my animated series I have the Simpsons, 26 series of the Simpsons with over 500 episodes.
When I navigate to this library on my playstation it loads very quickly and there is no problem UNTIL I open an actual episode, say S24E01. On selecting a episode to play plex halts for around 30 seconds and then eventually loads okay. Also, on finishing an episode and moving to the next episode S24E02 it again halts for 30 seconds.
I tried to optimize the database and it makes no difference. So, over the weekend I completely deleted my whole library (including the local files off disk), reinstalled plex and imported the whole library again but again the same problem exits.
This does NOT happen for any other series I have and I’m left to conclude its due to the large number of series in this one show. Shows of 10 series does not exhibit the problem.
I’m running on ubuntu 14.04, plex version plexmediaserver_0.9.12.18.1520-6833552_amd64 and 2.4.34 playstation UI.
This does also does not happen with a browser or from the android client.
Anyone else seeing this problem or know of a solution ?
