[Feature Reqest] Publish server via IPv6

Hi guys and especially Plex developers,

I just want to raise awareness for a topic that was mentioned a long time ago, will cause many problems in the future and is still not tackled in the Plex implementation. It seaems that myplex doesn't support ipv6. This was reported in March 2013 but nothing changed yet.

You can see the original "bug" report here: https://forums.plex.tv/topic/64389-publish-server-via-ipv6/

But unfortunately it was ignored by the developers for more then a year so I decided to make a new post in the Plex Pass Member Only area.

Small background:

At least German ISPs begun to deliver only DS-Lite which will result in IPv6 connections for everything. Last year some ISPs made it possible to switch back to Dual-Stack but this isn't an option anymore. As myPlex doesn't support IPv6 everybody with this setup can't use myPlex at all.

As you can see in the original thread there seem to be solutions for this problem.

Best regards

Cheffu

Full / extended ipv6 support in myplex would be nice, seeing more and more isp's are going to use ipv6 with some form of ds-lite.

+1 This is becoming more common.

+1, this is 2015, after all.
