I have a lot of shared users and content, and sometimes a bad file makes it through to plex... as such when you try and play it you only get black or it's corrupted or whatever...
I would love it if there was a "mark media as bad" button that all my users had access to and would show up as a notification somewhere on the plex server so I know there is a problem...
should be fairly simple to implement in a future version and would help people make note of what's going on with their media
Not sure how this voting works, but I’d seriously like this too. It’d be super convenient so when my friend comes across a bad transcode his text message about it doesn’t get lost in my phone somewhere. I have a pretty big library and a transcoding script touches a lot, so when it goes bad, its hard to find

There’s an announcement at the top of this forum that explains voting.
I think this is a good idea. This can hit two birds one stone by implementing a messaging system between server and clients, thus allowing maintenance messages to announce to the clients.
A request for the same feature exists already, and it has more votes.
