The apps currently has a channel section, but this is not used for Live TV. We need the ability to list the Live TV channels so you are able to get straight to the channel you wanted to watch rather than having to find the program you want to watch. This would save me having to use a seperate app on the Apple TV to just go stright to the Live TV channel I want to watch and continue to watch it for a few hours. This feature wouldn’t need to be recording other than for the ability to time-shift a bit to re-watch something.
This would also allow me to watch those channels that don’t support/allow recording.
For example in Australia (Canberra) Win TV is not showing in the EPG of Plex because they do not allow recording of their content (protected). Every other channel is available and I can even watch Win TV though the HDHomeRun if I use the HDHomeRun web page or the InstaTV app on Apple TV.
This feature would be a great help in situations like this as you should be allowed to watch and not permanently record the session.
