So while I don’t know why they did not fix this themselves, after hearing the linux advice, the fix was really simple (for windows). Just a couple of xml config files that needed very minor alterations.
Anyways, the corrected config files are right here.
You need to find your Plex/Resources/Profiles folder, and just extract the two xml files overtop of the ones in the folder, and restart plex. Problem solved.
