4K HDR Hardware Transcode

Try using this image

lsiodev/plex:amd64-1.25.2.5319-c43dc0277-pkg-c2e7263a-dev-2f08980441f26b55db4d95db8ee42c958882cc36

It’s a temp fix since theyr’re working on it.
Posting here as well since it’s a bigger thread

What can I do with that line of numbers and letters? Put in as my version on my docker? Sorry for being a noob. =)

THANK YOU!!!

Downgrading to ICR to 21.49.21786 worked for me. Plex Media Server remains at 1.25.2.5319.

Just edit the container and replace the image to lsiodev/plex:amd64-1.25.2.5319-c43dc0277-pkg-c2e7263a-dev-2f08980441f26b55db4d95db8ee42c958882cc36, then rebuild

At least it’s how it’s done on Portainer, I have no clue if you can edit image on Unraid, but I guess you can

The this is that I have the Repository as “linuxserver/plex” and also a Version, where I use to have “plexpass” but now I’ve specified to “1.25.1.5286-34f965be8” when I downgraded.

I’m now uncertain where I shall put the “lsiodev/plex:amd64-1.25.2.5319-c43dc0277-pkg-c2e7263a-dev-2f08980441f26b55db4d95db8ee42c958882cc36”

I guess

lsiodev/plex is the repo and
amd64-1.25.2.5319-c43dc0277-pkg-c2e7263a-dev-2f08980441f26b55db4d95db8ee42c958882cc36 is the version

I put everything in the repository and in version I had “plexpass”. It worked.

Thanks.

No problem, glad it worked
As it is a temporary fix, watch the github issue tracker. When the issue will be solved on Linuxserver’s side, revert back to linuxserver/plex version

I just tested and I can confirm that downgrading to Release 21.49.21786 · intel/compute-runtime · GitHub fixed the problem.

Someone in the Unraid forum says the Linuxserver image has been fixed as of late last night. Maybe it came out after installing what I thought was the latest version? More info here. https://forums.unraid.net/topic/40463-support-linuxserverio-plex-media-server/?do=findComment&comment=1077506

I won’t be able to test until I get back home Thurs.

Yep, they merged the issue. Now just rebuild the image.

I’ve tried the new version 21.51.21973 to see if the problem was fixed, but it doesn’t work. Plex will not use the iGPU when Tone Mapping enabled. You should stay at 21.49.21786 version until Plex Team solve the issue.

so do i understand it correct that with version 21.49.21786 plex docker container in Unraid will support hw transcoding + hw HDR tone mapping with alder lake cpu and Xe iGPU?

If I may augment here?

There are a few reports that the latest ICR 22.07 has corrected the problem for some.
