[Feature Request] TV Show Continual Play (Playstation, Android, iOS, etc...)

I have seen it throughout the forums and have also thought of the idea of myself. It would be great if for, when watching TV shows, episodes would auto play one after the other like the Windows or web version of Plex. It does get kind of annoying that once an episode is finished that I have to manually go out and then start the next episode myself. I’m sure it’s not an overnight add-on that can just be added but would be great to further the features of Plex.

For example:
I am on my device (Whatever device it may be ---- an iOS device, Android device, even on the Playstation or XBox (if it doesn’t have the feature), or a device that Plex is supported and doesn’t have this feature included) and decide to watch The Big Bang Theory. I’d love it if I could pop it up on my device and have it play till I’m done watching it. Weather it be after one episode or after binge watching 10 episodes. From time to times it gets a little irritating that, once I’m done an episode I have to get out and then go back three stages, wait for Plex to recognize that I’ve completed the episode and refresh displaying the new episode go into it and then manually play the next episode. The Windows and web app of Plex allow that once an episode if finished that the next one is queued up and shows a countdown till the next episode will start.

This feature for Windows and the web are amazing and I’m sure myself and many other Plex users would love to see this feature implemented over time. I know it won’t just happen over night and bang it’s working, I understand that it’ll take time. I just thought that I could take some ideas I’ve seen and ones I’ve had and made it into a feature request.

If anyone has any other idea, please feel free to elaborate and further the Plex experience. You never know, you might just have a brilliant idea that no one ever thought of to further the Plex experience.

As is explained here and here, you should not create new threads for features that have already been requested. The best thing to do is find one of the existing requests (preferably the one with the most votes) and add your vote by clicking ‘Like’ on the first message in the thread.

Continuous play has been implemented for some platforms, and, since Plex has indicated that feature parity across all apps is their goal, Continuous Play will eventually appear on all apps where it is possible.

I’m really sorry. I looked before I posted and I couldn’t find anything. If I found something I would have posted there. I will try harder next time.
