Hi Chuck, I’m having a similar issue with my QNAP. With HW transcoding disabled, I can transcode from 4k all the way down to 720p with no issues (upgraded from Pentium Gold to i5-9500T) but if I enable HW transcoding it can’t keep up and is constantly buffering.
I tried the Pentium Gold processor with a MSI GTX 1050 TI and couldn’t get it to work so I returned it and bought the i5. Any assistance would be appreciated. What logs can I upload?
