Iām not sure why this isnāt a thing yetā¦ Iām assuming thereās a good reason, but donāt say that itās because itās too difficult. Two-factor authentication using TOTP is pretty straightforward and can be accomplished quickly.

2FA is one of the only defenses against sophisticated dictionary and password cracking attacks. Assuming that your userās password database wonāt be leaked is like assuming that coffee wonāt spill because it is on a table. I am not saying that Plex thinks this way, I am just attempting to illustrate the idea. I personally think they way Plex handles security in terms of encrypted web pages for each individual user was nothing short of genius, however, encryption is useless against people with the magic key.
Many people in this thread assume that such a large change would be easy. The widespread compatibility of the Plex platform suggests that this would not be. Making such a large change to something like logins would require a large amount of time to implement. Even if something low cost like TOTP was used, there is still the cost of the implementation and with such a large amount of platforms to update, it would take a lot of time nevermind the testing time.
Nevertheless, in this day in age when something like the WPA2 Krack and similar user database leaks seems to be commonplace, giving users more options for security is never a bad thing.
Please at least publically consider enabling 2FA. Think of our children('s movies).

Please add this feature. I want to use Plex Cloud with Google Drive and I want the same security as with my Google Drive otherwise the security of my Google account will be compromised .
I canāt believe plex still hasnāt added this. Kinda makes me regret actually purchasing the plex pass.
