I guess I’m the exact opposite - I would hate to see all contributing artists clogging up the library artists page, so I’d hope any changes to this functionality would be optional so there is a choice to keep us all happy 
Is it really not possible to have "Brahms" show as an "Artist" from a "Various Artists" compilation?
That to me is the benefit and USP of Plex, choice. How do we want to experience our music, as opposed to how Apple or Google wish us to consume their services.
Hope this can be implemented at some point. Finding ‘Adam and the ants’ over 25 compilation discs (as an example) really disrupted the experience and flow.
Interestingly, stumbled upon another issue with Plex that it the DJs use the album date, thus, when selecting tunes from the same era, it was using the 2011 date of the album and not the 1982 track date. That’s a bit weird really.
