NO, not now, not at all, I don’t need Plex no pass, not at all.
1 does not work
2 does not work
3 does not work
Plex Pass is a scam.
A lot of us have no problems with it and you’re most certainly entitled to your opinion.
I can only wish you the best of luck in whatever solution you do ultimately select
And there is why you should not give Plex your money.
A lot of us have MANY problems that have been reported for years and your “we don’t give a crap” attitude is why NO ONE should pay for a Plex Pass.
It DEFINITELY is NOT worth it.
@Anijake points are all valid. The company seems to “prefer” users troubleshoot issues rather than provide support themselves.
Often “users” replies will be snarky, rude or outright dismissive. Plex Dev’s seem to be OK with that level of service. Just HOPE you never have a technical issue and have to come to this forum and be talked down to by 400lb guys in their mom’s basement. /s
But seriously, if you have a problem and visit this forum, the oldtimers will automatically expect you to have scoured search for answers, research your OWN problem, know exactly how to perform troubleshooting tasks and then admonish you for asking/posting a question already asked.
GUESS WHAT GUYS…I DIDN’T PAY YOU. It’s NOT the job of the customer to FIND the answer. That is why YOU PAY SOMEONE.
Back to the purchase, seriously NO. If you don’t have very specific equipment, loyal to certain brand OEMS, the experience with Plex Pass a waste of your money. However, if you ONLY use one type of device brand and assuming the apps for the ONE device are maintained and shown current development, otherwise be prepared for slow fixes, silence and/or directions to BUY some thing else that works better with Plex.
Save your cash. The biggest “draw” for most is the LiveTV support. Well it ONLY works on the web (personally it does NOT work in my house on my gig ethernet), The current tuners (aka SiliconDust) DO support DRM channels, so if your provider has many channels with DRM, you are SOL. Plex DOES NOT HAVE DRM CERTIFICATION THUS WILL NOT SHOW ANY DRM’ed CHANNELS FROM YOUR PROVIDER. The ONLY tuner company “that shall not be named” that I know of also has DRM certification aka you can access DRM channels with software that ALSO has DRM support. Thus ALL the channels you pay for ARE NOT SUPPORTED by PLEX and therefore not watchable. (Plex must pay to get the software certified to be able to view and/or record DRM’ed channels.)

Really sorry for all of that. But I am so sick of the sycophantic fanboys here, fellating the egos of Plex Dev.
I paid for the pass just to support plex. I do enjoy all of the features that come with it, but my main feeling is support.
