Server suddenly hanging up while converting file(s) to mobile optimized versions. Files will get to 9%-23% and stop. Plenty of disc space. First time running into this problem after years of operation. I’ve been through a bunch of old posts, start/stop server, cleared cache, removed failed files etc. and still can seem to overcome this. Log files attached for review. Any additional insight is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What device the files being downloaded to?
I often have problems completing downloads unless I keep the screen awake on the actual download screen.
F-1 The Movie is 4K HEVC.
Your system has a i5-3230M CPU. The HD4000 graphics do not support decoding HEVC video.
Is the Nvidia GPU Kepler generation (GeForce 6xx)? Kepler GPUs do not support decoding HEVC video. Also, they are no longer supported by Nvidia, so may no longer work with Plex.
So, to convert F1 The Movie for mobile, Plex will have to use the CPU to transcode and tone map the video. That will take a very long time on a mobile CPU such as the i5-3230M.
Questions:
Can you convert 1080p/H.264 videos for mobile with PMS 1.43.2?
Can you convert other HEVC videos for mobile with PMS 1.43.2 (is the problem all HEVC or just with F1)?
Do you remember if the conversions worked when running PMS 1.42.2? PMS 1.43.0 contains the updated transcoder, based on FFMPEG 6.1. PMS 1.42.2 has the old Plex transcoder, based on FFMPEG 4.
Thank you for the insight. Yes, prior to these two most recent updates I’d never had a problem converting HEVC videos over the course of the last 2 years. Last successful conversion was on May 3rd, just before PMS updated. My PMS certainly isn’t fast, but it would get the job done.
The I5-3230M has Intel Integrated graphics with Quick Sync. Previously support for HW acceleration.
Sounds like I should revert back to the 1.42.x PMS until the new transcoder is further developed? or I have time to upgrade equipment:( ?
Thoughts? Thinking revert is path of least resistance for now.
