Same issue here. Everything plays just fine except the files with mp3 that makes a huge audio out of sync about 5-8 sec. Totally unusable ~X(
Same issue for me with the xbox 360. Any mp3 audio file is out of sync, works fine on my Web app, and I have not checked my rasplex yet, but I assume they will also play just fine.
Rasplex throws a unknown codec error and then plays just fine, guessing it transcodes off the server itself, and I do not have any issues.
Got no response from them on Twitter.
Guessing the only solution is to convert the audio to aac. I recommend the app handbrake. To bad we have to convert. What a pain.
I have the same problem as well. Seems that any version above version 1 causes this issue. Version 0.9.16.6.1993 and below does not have this problem.
Hi guys. I have the same issue.
I want to apply the solution you suggested (install previous version 0.9.1xxxx) but, in order to install an old version, I must first uninstall the actual version (2.8.1), so, I want to know if I will lose my all libraries and all the linked metadata and then I’ll have to create and link the metadata again.
Thanks
Sorry, my actual version for Plex Server is 1.1.4.2757

Well for anyone out there who needs an older copy of the plex media server (what a great time for Plex to stop serving the old files), here is 0.9.16.6 for Windows (MEGA)

You will not lose anything at least I didn’t lose anything when I downgraded

Still recommend you backup your meta data first: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/72157/backing-up-and-restoring-metadata-on-windows-8
Thanks buddies, it worked and I didn’t lost anything
I’m having the same issue as well. Anything from the Plex folks? Even an acknowledgement you’re aware of the issue?
Having same issue here. How do we get this info to Plex people to make sure they get it fixed??
I personally don’t want to downgrade to an older server version
How is this still not fixed yet. Getting pretty ridiculous.
I agree that issue is more that a year old. It’s seems related to mp3 encoding. The solution is already in the code of their old version. It’s not a solution to downgrade to lost some new feature and the risk of having to redo a lot of cover and association. I stayed a subscriber before to help them but i’m thinking of stopping if there isn’t any plus value. I know that there’s the xbox one now but it’s false to think there’s no more 360 users.
Just commenting to keep this thread relevant with the others. Maybe the devs will take notice if there are 3 threads on top with the same issue
Would love to upgrade to the latest sever version, is this issue fixed yet?
Currently on Ubuntu Plex Server version 1.1.4.2757 and still having the audio sync issue on Xbox 360 only.
