Music Videos and Music using Global music videos path issues

Correct. We do not support any other type for this.

would be ignored if it was type -video (or no type)

“No type” correct. You have to include the type. There is no default. “video” type should work.

Please provide and image of your filenames.

Um, not what the docs say:-

" If you exclude the “type” from the filename, it will default to the -video type."

My experience is that no -type does indeed default to -video.

Huh. I don’t remember that working before. Just tested it and it does work for me.

Using the same example from before, I moved the file to the Global folder and removed the -video.

Can you provide an exact example of what’s not working for you. You haven’t provided the actual filenames you are using so it may be related to that. Do you have dashes elsewhere in the name?

How do we go about making it so there are plans to support an artist without an audio file? It seems strange to me that a product primary focused on video would have an audio requirement like this; the folder for the artist exists in the MV folder, so that should be enough to trigger adding an artist.

I can’t possibly be the only person who has a ton of music video files, but hardly any audio files (since YouTube Music, Apple Music, Pandora, Spotify, Amazon Music, etc all exist and are way easier to deal with than manually managing audio files).

How do we make this an official feature request? Because this is exactly how it should work. @anon18523487, can you provide guidance on how to make this a feature request, and what would be required to actually get it scheduled?
