Ditto above. This seems to have resolved at least the main transcoder issues experienced previously esp with subtitles - thank you. Ds920.

Working fine and without problems on the Synology DS 918+ with DSM7 without the vaapidriver reference in the .xml file.

Okay, I executed a s6-svc -r /var/run/s6/services/plex/ as mentioned in this post after performing the update so I didnāt have to restart the container. Now I too have verion 1.32.8.7605 running and can confirm itās working.

No issues so far on my DS920+, DSM7 with the SPK (so not running in a container)
HW HDR tone mapping still broken on j4105 with Unraid 6.12.4 (kernel 6.1.49).
Will need Server DEBUG logs for this.
We fixed all GLK (GeminiLake CPUs) by reconfiguring the default VaapiDriver and providing that ivd driver
There are so many reports of success with no failures, I need to know what is happening.

Regular HW transcoding works just fine but HDR tone mapping does not.

So the problem might be more related to kernel (6.1.49) or Unraid. On the other hand, HW HDR tone mapping works without a problem with Jellyfin
Yes, This is a problem with the Unraid kernel.
Jellyfin uses a different HW tonemapping method than Plex so itās like comparing VLC which isnāt apples-to-apples
The issue is with OpenCL talking to the chip CPU (which libdrm does in the rendering process)

Could you be more specific? I would like to report this issue to the Unraid developers. Is the kernel itself problematic or the way they implemented it?
What version of the kernel have you confirmed as working in the case of Gemini lake?

Remember, GeminiLake is an older processor.
It doesnāt require the 6.x kernels yet or the āHWEā (Ubuntu term).
Those features start with the -9xxx and above CPUs

Is it possible to install kernel 5.19.17 or higher on your test machine with Gemini lake to confirm the kernel issue?
I might try to downgrade from Unraid v6.12.4 (with kernel 6.1.49) to 6.10.3 (kernel 5.15.49).

So I have finally managed to downgrade to Unraid v6.10.3 with kernel 5.15.49. Guess what? HW HDR tone mapping works just fine even on 1.32.7.7621.
Have the transcoder changes made it into the latest beta already or do we still have to wait?
Release schedule is PMS 1.32.8 . AFAIK
