@Atomatth Is there any update? Even just a “Yea its broken were still working on it” so we know you didn’t forget about us FreeBSD enjoyers?
Plex forums is less of a “yeah we know it’s broken” type of place and more of a public square for people to mill about and yell stuff in confusion ![]()
A fix has just been pushed out: Plex Media Server - #596 by drzoidberg33
Thanks for your patience, we had more than one issue preventing us from getting this deployed sooner.
The service starts now but it ignores my own certificate configuration, instead it uses this one: Common Name (CN) *.d5a46e1f818d4f54899a22d71976b9db.plex.direct
Not sure where I could change it back to my own certificate, seems like it is ignoring my configuration.
Edit:
I’ve also checked and after rollback it works again ok as expected without any configuration changes. So something is broken in this update.
@adorobis Can you please provide logs?
Here it is. To my understanding it is not even trying to use my configured cert. But I might be wrong ![]()
Plex Media Server.log (338.0 KB)
Edit:
Ah, I get it. Actually I needed to update the certificate encryption method. Solution is posted here:

All good now!
Works, looks good, thank you!
