I know this comments belongs in plexwatchweb so I've also posted there. I'm brand new to this and I'm getting the "can't access the plexwatch.db" as an error on the main window. I can see the very high level stats around how many movies and tv shows.
I've opened full control permissions to the DB to see if that would help no dice.
I think the problem was with plexwatch as opposed to plexwatch web. Do I need to task the executable to run every 1 minute or is the initial run enough to keep the system collecting data?

You should schedule the vbs script to be executed once a minute via task scheduler.

If you plan to use the recently added feature of plexWatch you will need to schedule that vbs script also. I think most people tend to set that to every 15 minutes if I remember correctly.

When I manually run plexwatch.exe. I see the command window pop up and then the data in plexwatchweb updates with some gaps. Probably because it's missing data between manual runs.
When I manually run the .vbs script the UAC panel comes up and asks if its ok to run plexwatch. So I know the script works.
I've added myself, everyone, administrators, users, bill gates (jk) .... to the security on the VBS and the plexwatch.exe with full control.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Do I have to disable UAC altogether? Am I setting up task scheduler incorrectly?
Any help would be appreciated.

Try to ensure windows smartscreen (I believe that's the name) isn't blocking the vbs from running plexwatch.exe. It seems to happen to me whenever I update plex watch

Yes you can do plex watch.exe directly. Once you select 5 minutes in task scheduler, click the field and manually change the 5 to a 1 for it to run every minute

The vbs scripts main purpose is to hide the command prompt popping up every run (minutely).

Looks like tasking plexwatch.exe works flawlessly. I'll stay away from the .vbs not sure why it wasn't triggering plexwatch.exe but the command window is annoying :)
SunnyD71 I should have looked at the 4th comment in the forum where you said that you tasked the plexwatch.exe directly.

Thought I would add a post mortem for any future people starting this journey.

Download the package from Github per liljunkie's instructions. Those instructions were good for me all the way up to the vbs script's and scheduling in task scheduler.
Turns out that I had to add the optional " start in folder" to the task scheduler in the action category. This did not work without that step.
Not sure if its consistent in all Windows OS's but I found a lot of discussions referencing that vbs scripts were failing as of 2008 r2 in task scheduler.

Been using this for several months! It's awesome. Here is my issue. When there is nobody watching, it works perfectly. When there is somebody watching, it reports they are watching, but see below, it says all of the dates are 12/30/2013 It's not pulling any of the recent data WHEN somebody is watching. This has been going on since the new year. Any ideas?

This is a plexWatch/Web specific issue. Update to the latest version, set your time and date formats on the settings page and you will be good to go.
