I've recently migrated servers. Should simply merging the two log files combine everything? Or will that not work?
The log files are just that, log files. They won't affect anything if they are merged/deleted/etc..
When you migrated, did you copy your plexWatch directory to the new computer or did you start a new clean copy? If the later, they it's possible to merge them, but it takes some command line fun. Thanks, that's what I figured. I started with a clean install on the new box. That looks straight forward enough. As long as the sqite commands are the same, I can do the rest in windows fine. I'll give it a shot later tonight or tomorrow.

PlexWatch v0.2.8

Upgrade instructions:
- replace plexWatch.exe
- that's it ( it will upgrade/fix itself )
Anyone who upgrades to the newest PlexPass PMS release (v0.9.9.6) must upgrade to plexWatch v0.2.8 for Recently Added to work properly.
Also note, plexWatchWeb has an update pending for it to work.

I have been putting plexwatch through the ringer, mostly utilizing the front end. I'm curious if plexwatch db is actually tracking the unique IP as the primary field or the device.
For example plexwatch web changes the location and all previous play counts of the device to the most recent IP that is used. So if half of the plays were in one location then the other half in another. Only the most recent location is displayed.
Purely for hobbyist purpose but I think its cool to track everywhere my "clan" has played my plex server.
The IP is per session/stream, just as device being used. The only way to see this is to turn off "grouping" in plex/Web. This will show you every play instead of grouping the same item played by the same user until it's completed or more than a couple hours apart.

I have been trying to get PlexWatch and PlexWatchWeb up and running. It is a steep learning curve but I feel I have gotten 95% of the way there. One problem that started occurring is that I my 'Movies' library will now lose all the metadata or something, the result is that most of my movies disappear from PMS. I have been able to recreate my server by performing a 'Force Refresh...' on the library. My question is this possibly caused by the use of PlexWatch or PlexWatchWeb? I am currently wondering if the if the Task I scheduled to run plexWatchNotify.vbs every minute is competing with Plex's database writes and corrupting a database. I am running Windows 8.1 x64 and in order to avoid a UAC warning every time the Task is scheduled I had to enable the check box for 'Run with the highest privledges'. I am certainly not an expert on the Task Scheduler or any other aspect of PlexWatch.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded https://github.com/ljunkie/plexWatch/archive/v0.2.8.zip
extracted the files so all the stuff is in a folder at C:\plexWatch
renamed config.pl-dist-win32 to config.pl
and the plexwatch.exe file just shows for second how can i tell if there are any errors or does this mean there are none?
I oped cmd.exe did typed cd c:\plexwatch started a show on my android phone ran the opened plexwatch.exe stopped the show ran plexwatch.exe again, what am i supposed to see when i do this.

Someone is going to have to create a tutorial. I was confused for the longest time and no one was really helpful. Maybe if I get some time I'll put something together. It's not you it's just confusing till you get it and then it's not too bad, but people are more interested in offering unhelp than help. And there are no tutorials available currently.

I'm sure in the first few posts there was something of a tutorial and I added to it. Not very detailed but maybe a starting point. Let me know if you still can't find it.

How do I schedule a task for notifications every minute on a windows 8.1 machine and a task for recently added media every 15 minutes?
When I use the plexwatch.exe for my task, the exe is run every minute but nothing gets logged, when I use the vbs script for the same task, the task’s status always is ‘Ready’ instead of ‘Active’, so I don’t think the script is run and nothing gets logged either…

Hmm, now my scripts work, but I have to manually restart each task and then it only runs once even if I say the task has to be repeated each minute... :s
So my plexwatch isn't working :s
EDIT: solved my problem myself. I used the wrong trigger. I used 'at boot' instead of daily...
