Yes that was my initial tho. I just upgraded for the hell of it and voila there it was. I upgrade the whole runtime packages so now they are all up to date. Installation had some warning as it was looking for 21.49.21786, but worked flawlessly. Thanks @ChuckPa and team

I’ll add a second data point - I’ve installed ICR 22.35.24055 on Ubuntu 22.04 ( Release 22.35.24055 · intel/compute-runtime · GitHub ) with PMS 1.29.0.6219 on an Alder Lake (i5-12400), HW transcoding and tone mapping appears to be working fine. Yay! Nice work team!

I’m still having issues. And I’m running kernel 5.19 with a 12th chip on 22.04.1. Lates IRC and Plex server. Not sure what I’m doing wrong…

I can confirm it is the GPU. I see no CPU usage in top, and I can see the GPU work using intel_gpu_top.

ALL: I’ve made some packaging changes which will be available in PMS 1.29.1 Intel Compute Runtime and Beignet/OpenCL library handling has been improved. The warning messages about Intel Compute Runtime and Beignet/OpenCL have been removed.

Thanks. Just wondering, will the pre-install script also apt-mark unhold the old version that got auto-held-back? Or do we need to take care of this?

Are you sure tone mapping is using the iGPU and not the CPU?
