There is no possible transcoding for Profile 5
It is trying to transcode. It’s a 4K DoVi file that Chrome can’t handle. Plex/Web transcodes this to 1080p, usually. Not anymore.
If you have DoVi – Layer 7, you are OK because it contains the HDR10 layer
Profile 5 will not transcode. It was blocked several versions ago.
It was blocked because Pink & Green are not acceptable colors for movies

That’s odd… As I said, these files used to play back absolutely fine, without weird colors. I can live with it, since I only use Plex/Web to manage the server, but my family streaming remotely is probably not liking this.
Can we ask the team what made them go down this route?
Please look above.
A little qnap & Plex/web … Works just fine with non-Profile 5 input.
You’re trying to transcode a “Streaming-only” copy . Won’t work.
I guess I must have been dreaming all these years when these exact same files played back perfectly fine before 1.291.
Anyways, I don’t want to derail this thread. I’ll open a separate one.
If it’s regarding Profile 5, there’s nothing to discuss.
FYI… Still seeing beignet-opencl-icd being reported as recommended.
Drats! that should also be removed. I’ll get that.
There were a lot of changes.
EDIT: Added the package change recommendation to the list of issues for 1.29.1
Just installed, tonemapping working perfectly right out of the box. Thanks so much for all of your effort!
FYI… the beignet-opencl-icd recommended has been removed with 1.29.1.6316-f4cdfea9c (thankfully).

I put in that change and am glad to see it’s made its way out to everyone.
Thanks very much @ChuckPa! I’ve been waiting for this update for a very long time. It’s working fantastic for me, and I can now transcode HDR content with tone mapping on my DS1520+ with no lags or huge buffering. One transcode takes about 20% CPU, give or take, and that’s perfectly acceptable to me.
