Plex unavailable according to plex.tv but actually is available?

Hello,

I am currently facing an odd issue which i cannot figure out.
When i go to plex.tv login and hit the launch button on my local network it works perfectly fine, but on any network outside it doesnt work.
On the server tab in the settings it says that My plex server is fully accessible outside my network.

When i enter as url http://<myexternalIP:32400/Web it does somehow load my plex server.
So for some reason, only outside of my network, using the login on plex.tv my server is not reachable.
(32400 is my munally selected port, this is not upnp. i did forward it properly, and it does work, only not when using the plex.tv website it seems)

Any idea how to solve this?
And I hope I managed to sketch the situation correctly.

I also experience the same thing on one server. On the other, everything is fine. I wrote this up and submitted it as a problem report.

There is a combination of ‘signing out’ (Settings - General) and ‘Disconnect - Reconnect’ (Settings - Remote Access) which makes it work. I did it once but have not been able to repeat it every time.

What we are experiencing is a loss of synchronization between Plex/Web, PMS, and Plex.tv . It is being actively worked on.

I wish i could help you more but this is all that is known.

Is it possible that you are seeing this in Internet Explorer? Do you happen to have Chrome or Firefox installed, and, if so, does the same problem occur there? I ask because there is another report that sounds kind of like what you’re seeing.

This issue is seen in Chrome and FF. It’s also in both the logs and the Plex servers.

It happened in all browsers, but it seems the workaround ChuckPa mentioned worked.
If you log out your server from plex, then log it in again it works again…

Weird… but it works, So im happy!!
