Problems matching with TheTVDB

Hi,

since the last update I cannot match using TheTVDB anymore, here is an excerpt from the Log:

Looks like a python/sslwrap related bug. Anyone else with similar problems?

Best regards,

Tilman

PS: Downgrading from 1.3.0 to 1.2.7 immediately fixes the issue.

Same issue here. I’ve been dealing with this for about a week. The Movie Database works fine when adding a movie. The issue seems to be strictly with TheTVDb. At first I thought there may have been an installation/upgrade issue so I reinstalled PMS. Didn’t change a thing. Guess I’ll be downgrading like you recommended until the issue is resolved! Thanks for the help!!!

I’ve also noticed that after adding a show/episode (either one) to PMS it shows it on the home screen under Recently Added Television. Then after PMS finishes the “Metadata Download” it removes it from the list. I just added well over 10 seasons to one show. The showed up then a few minutes later they vanished and the list was empty. (Not like there were new ones added and they got bumped off the list)

This may or may not be your issue. Give it a shot…

I had trouble connecting to PMS and also downloading metadata. After working on this most of the day, I finally got to thinking…Disable the Windows Firewall completely and try it again. I disabled it and then restarted the PMS service. Suddenly everything started working. I haven’t had the time yet to figure out what port (if any) was blocking it from working or not. But now all of my metadata is downloading just fine. I’m wondering if the update didn’t change the way it downloaded? I plan on activating my firewall on Windows again soon. I’ve got a firewall on my network so I’m not too worried about intrusion at the moment. I should have time to figure something out. Lol

No Windows and no Windows firewall here. Log is pretty clear on a known issue with python, though.
As Plex ships with it’s own python on freebsd, this is something for the developers to fix.

Still not fixed in 1.3.1

Having issue as well on Unraid version so your not alone. Installed Version:1.3.2.3112-1751929

This has been reported to the developers.

@OttoKerner

Thanks!

I have a couple of new series for 2017 (Beyond 318106 and The Halcyon 320451) that are not being seen by Plex although they are listed in TheTVDB. A number of these sites need to copy TheTVDB rather than access it directly, guess is that the Plex replication has stopped synching for the past couple of weeks.

Maybe, maybe not. The problem I am having seems to be python-related, though. Unfortunately no fix in sight :frowning:

I’m having this same problem, only on TVDB, not on movies. I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out what was going on before I finally ran into JWT errors in the tvdb logs and finding this thread. Sounds like it’s NOT my system going down, which is good. I’m running FreeNAS-9.10.2 (a476f16) and plexmediaserver-1.3.3.3148-amd64. Not sure if it’s worth it, since I know they’ll (hopefully) get this fixed in the next update, but how difficult is it to roll back the version of Plex Media Center on FreeNAS? I’ve never tried before and most of my building the server came from guides and whatnot.

I am not using freeNAS but freeBSD 10.
If you use the ports collection for plex downgrading is easily done via portdowngrade.

I’ll look into portdowngrade. I had to update Plex once using ports, but haven’t touched it since. All I’m hoping is that the dev team looks into the issue.

Same issue here, my logs are similar to the OP.

Same Issue. The Movie DB works fine. The TVDB isn’t working anymore.

I also have the same issue. Makes all watched content appear unwatched when updating a show to a higher quality, that was previously watched. Hopefully we will see a fix soon.

Is downgrading easy if using the Plex plugin in FreeNAS? Otherwise I would need to install a jail to downgrade.

Since upgrading to 1.3.3.3148 I also am not receiving metadata for my TV series. Movies is still working fine. Running on Freenas currently

Same problem here on plexmediaserver-plexpass 1.3.3.3148 installed either via pkg or from ports :frowning:

2017-01-11 23:36:56,586 (809be5000) : INFO (__init__:140) - JWT Error: ('module' object has no attribute 'sslwrap') - 'module' object has no attribute 'sslwrap'

@OttoKerner, any ETA from devs? Is there a better way to escalate this than complaining here? Thanks

Anyone got a reply from the @Plex twitter account. At least that seems to be active.

Still no news on this being fixed ?

I use freenas and the plex plugin so I can’t even downgrade to 1.2.7 :((

Can i request that when u release a fixed version of PMS that it go straight to public release please ?

Although I have a Plex Pass I use the plugin on freenas which only gets updated to the public versions of PMS.
