Player Version: FireTV app from FireTV store.
Device: FireStick3, 1 GB RAM.
The FireTV app’s user interface is a disaster compared to the clean, great user interface of the web browser interface.
Of course I don’t know about other mobile apps, e.g. Android TV, Google TV, Apple iPhone app, Android Google app… ( if there is such available, all ). Do the user interface of the other mobile apps look similar to the FireTV app?

For comparison: The web interface on desktop PCs ( Windows…) differentiates between “Free Movies & TV” and “Live TV”.
There is are is a special button line at top of browser window on desktop PCs, with hover over menus named “Free Movies & TV” and “Live TV”.
Both offers offer content categories within which all video-on-demand streaming channels are listed as small icons. Click on an icon and you have selected the channel. Works fine, perfect implementation.
Indeed, if I call the Plex website with the ( outdated, but last, newest available) Firefox for FireTV, there are no such button line at top of browser window, with buttons named “Free Movies & TV” and “Live TV” :-(.

On desktop browsers: No way to navigate to these URLs?
Instead, as mentioned above, hover over the items “Free Movies & TV” and “Live TV” in menu line at the top of the screen, by which new tempoary windows are displayed.
On Firefox FireTV browser, navigation to this webpage URL is by burger menu at top left, scrolling down:
- (yellow) “Free Movies & TV” - Click on “Categories”.
- (yellow) “Live TV” - Click on “Categories”.
If you bookmark these URLs on Firefox for FireTV, or by 2 of the 9 bookmark apps for FireTV, you can choose easily among your favourite Plex categories.

The app’s navigation, on the other hand, puts individual films and series in the foreground with a large preview image. The categories are not clearly listed. When you start, you end up with “Continue Watching” and “What’s on now?”, not a menu like in the web interface.
I did not find suche category listings with the app.
See other posting, on FireStick3 with 1 GB RAM, the Plex app is totally unstable, means maybe such category listings are somewhere, but I didnt find it.
