If I browse to a TV show in my library, the app force closes with no error given. Movies behave as expected. I am using the plex app for Amazon fire stick.

I have the same problem. When is press “play” on the TV Show it starts playing, but as soon as i open a Show in my libary (for example to see the Infos, select a specific episode) the App crashes

We’re aware of the issue on some FireTV devices, and will have a new version out as soon as possible, sorry about this!

Same here after update, plex just closes when going into tv show menu… Hopefully update soon.

I have similar issue. All my tv shows work fine. Movies just crash app and back to home screen of fire stick. Plex is working fine on iPad and Samsung phones.
I’m trying to watch some shows and it’s not working. Lol.
Same issue as of tonight. Browsing to TV Show menus crashes Firestick App. Movie Menus still function as expected.

Seeing the same BUT only for one particular series Spooks. I can browse to other series on the Plex Server with no issue.
I should note, there is no issues when using the Web Player
Same thing happening to me but only for the movies info. It crashes while loading the movie info page.

I have same issue, moment I click on any on the TV shows, the application crash with error stream truncated… here is the error, *“handleStreamRead code 1: stream truncated”
I am running FireTV (Not fire TV Stick) 8.18.1.25719 (1d75c2cc) and Server version 1.23.2.4656-85f0ad5b.
We released a fix for this yesterday:
Uninstalled the App from firestick. Reinstalled. It’s still not working.
Can you confirm which version you’re on?

My apologies @DaveBinM, it was still the old version. It must not be available in our area yet.

No Firestick Plex App update here either. I’ve tried uninstalling to no avail… the issue persists.
Just sideload the apk it’s worth it it fixes the issue.
Yes, same issue here! After updating on my Firestick broke the connection. Tried clearing all data and cache and no change. The tried uninstalling and re-installing app and will open a library but when attempting to open a series within the library it crashes with out an error. Checked on second device on another TV in the house and same issue. It has made my Plex server useless unless unless accessing it on my iphone.
Can you confirm which version you’re on?
