To listen music compilations, always down to the letter V to choose an album compilation (V = Various artist)
It would be easier if the label: "various artist" was always at the top of the view by artists
I had a similar thought. I actually achieved it by editing the "Various Artists" item and putting "aaa" in the Sort Artist field. As long as your library is sorted by Name, Various Artists will be at the top of the list.

Well, but it only works if you sort by Name - ascending. I understand the desire to keep Various Artists there regardless of the sorting.
Perhaps the ability to "pin" one or more items to the top of the list, regardless of sorting options...
Or the bottom.
Why would you want to pin one specific artist throughout sorting options? it seams silly to me, and counter to the point of these sorting options in the first place. Care to elaborate?
I can understand wanting it up there, but to stay up there through all of the sorting options... Plex defaults to showing you the named list, so if you have it sorted as aaaVarious Artists, it's gonna show up there... Why then would it need to be kept across all sorting options? If you want to choose various artists I'm sure your not going to change the sorting options to date just to select it from the top when it's already there.

Surely a simpler way would be to have the option to display/order by "Artist" "Album Artist" or "Album Title"
