[Feature Request] iOS client TV-Out/Airplay visual on music playback instead of a black screen...?

I airplay or dock (hdmi) my phone all then time. I’ve officially switched from the default music player in iOS to Plex and I haven’t looked back. Airplay and TV-Out on iOS behave the same in every app I’ve seen - Plex included. When I airplay (or TV-Out) a video from plex it displays artwork on the iOS device and playback controls, while the video plays on the TV. However, for music, Plex only displays a blank screen.

Is it possible to display SOMETHING when playing back MUSIC, rather than nothing? Having the artwork, song title, timeline playback, and other metadata, etc. would be nice - but even nicer would be lyrics now that lyricfind is implemented… and even better still would be a music visualizer of some sort.

Having all these elements on the screen would be fantastic. But I’d be happier with anything over nothing at this point.

So many visualization options here…

When a song doesn’t have a corresponding Music Video, show something visually interesting in its place, like a slideshow of band images, band trivia, upcoming tour info, song lyrics, or music-sensitive visualizations (Electric Sheep for music, anyone?)

I agree, it would be nice to have music visualizers.

There is a discussion about this here: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/232264/plex-media-player-audio-visualizer#latest

Would love to see such a feature (projectM)!

Please do it guys!

Agreed! Hope this comes soon!
