Hi everyone, I just got a Plex Pass so that I could have access to music lyrics and the other awesome stuff that comes with it, but I have one main problem: right now I always have to manually click on the Lyrics icon to view the lyrics of a song. This also means that after one song is finished and the next one starts, I have to click on the Lyrics button again to see the lyrics of the second song.
I find this procss very awkward and not great in terms of design, so I was hoping the Lyrics button would permanently toggle the lyrics on and off on the Plex interface.
This means that ideally if I’m listening to an entire music album, I can just look at the lyrics one after the other rather than having to interact with the interface for every song.
I like that idea (and voted for it). A thought: If lyrics aren’t available for a track, Plex should remember that lyrics were “on,” and should return when the next track with lyrics starts.
Yes, this is the kind of stuff I’m talking about. I guess it should be fairly easy to implement, and it would improve the user experience a lot. People could even just put it on the tv during a party and everyone could sing following the lyrics
Agreed!! Seems silly to have to keep hitting the button for each song that comes up, should keep lyrics up automatically once selected the first time for subsequent tracks.
Do you know what server they use to fetch lyrics?
I ask this because when im listening to a song that hasnt lyrics available id like to make sure wheter it is missing on server side or some problem with my file properties.
A lot of people are not using their votes here - login and click on the vote button to allow this to receive more attention, don’t just reply to the topic - vote it up if you want it.
I Too find this annoying to look at lyrics. It would also be a good option to keep mobile device screens active (not darken or sleep ) when displaying lyrics.
You could timeout the lyric like streaming services do by asking after 8-10 songs if you still are watching the lyrics, and stop displaying lyrics if no response is received from the user.
I would be surprised if this feature was not very highly sought after amongst music library users of Plex PASS.
