Edit:
It appears that ACD was completely removed from Cloud Sync (most likely around the same time as Plex Cloud) without any information being passed along by the Plex developers. Why they let the topics by myself continue along since September of 2016 without saying a word is just bizarre.
If you are on a build before it was removed (1.1.3.2700) then Cloud Sync will continue to function normally when uploading to Amazon Cloud Drive, but be warned that updating to any build after will have that functionality cease.
Original topic:
Now I don’t normally do this, but I would appreciate at least a response by a Plex developer that has taken a look at all the facts of the issue.
The link below is to topic that I created back on September 30th and have documented everything I’ve seen within that time, but the responses that I have already gotten seem to ignore what is happening which is beyond frustrating. After the link, I will have a quick version of what I have seen throughout these past few months.
- Builds post 1.1.4 (aka post-“Streaming Brain”) will not upload to ACD
- What “will not upload” means is exactly that – nothing uploads
- It will begin, but at 1% will immediately stop
- Checking ACD will show nothing uploaded, even after letting it sit for 24 hours
- Any build UP TO and INCLUDING 1.1.4 (aka pre-“Streaming Brain”) will upload to ACD
- Prior to the split of Plex Cloud and ACD, uploaded files would not sync on these builds
- Files WOULD upload as shown on the ACD, but would still be “Waiting to be Uploaded”
– These “pre-Streaming Brain” builds work normally once again since the split - Error message within Log File when this issue occurred for these builds is not the same as what shows when using the latest build
– Not surprising considering the issues were never the same
This definitely appears to be an issue specific to Plex considering old builds work normally again.
For any log files or other documentation, please check the link above as there are many in there.
