So this thought was inspired by the “play Next” feature request.
What I think would be really interesting feature would be a way to link TV series crossover events, so that when browsing a particular series where the plot starts, you would see the continuation of the plot as a separate show but with the original series listing. The most useful would be to have a link both ways, so that if you setup so that if you setup Show2 SxxExx as a continuation of Show1 SxxExx that PMS would automatically create the reverse link, and you would see the show1 episode appear in show2 season as well.
Thoughts?
I have the same situation with a few television series that would do cross-over episodes in support of a story arc. Prime is example is CSI: NY. The episode that served as the pilot episode actually occurred on CSI: Miami (Season 02 Episode 23). There was another story arc that started on CSI: Miami (Season 08 Episode 07), continued on CSI: NY (Season 06 Episode 07), then concluded on CSI Crime Scene Investigation (Season 08 Episode 07). The DVDs for CSI: NY also included the cross-over episodes of other shows.
A more simplistic one is an episode that started on Bones but concluded on Sleepy Hollow.
While it may not be common for shows to have cross-over episodes, it is not unusual either. I just don’t know how to name them to link the episodes.
Maybe this’ll work for you?
