I just wanted to report a bug. Plexamp is crashing very often when i open it (Android)

I see the crash in our reporter, unfortunately it’s one of our mystery bugs deep in Android which we haven’t been able to track down yet 
If it may help, it only happens to me every morning when i start the app. Then there is no crash anymore during the day.
If you want I could attached logs again when it will happen
As expected, it crashed the first time i hit the play button this morning.
Maybe there is someting about the change of the date ?

That is a great data point. So it was paused overnight, essentially? Please let me know if this is a common pattern, really appreciate the help.
Yes, it was paused during the night.
If it crashes again tomorow morning (in 10h after this post) it would be the same pattern 4 days in the raw.

Same happened few minutes ago.
First time of the day I hit play Plexamp crashes, then it’s ok
Things that are related to this scenario : I’m on the outside network, my headphones connected to Bluetooth

Very interesting. And when you hit play, where are you hitting play? Are you starting the app and then resuming from the player screen?
Yes, resumingband hitting play, but i think one i hit Mixes for you.
Tomorrow i’ll change the scenario, don’t connect to bluetooth, be on wifi and start a new album to see if the crash happen again
That would be a good data point. Please also attach logs so I can compare between the days and see if it looks like the same thing is happening.
This morning :
- on Wifi,
- no Bluetooth,
- starting an album from my librairie
It crashed the same way as the other days, half a second after i hit play

I’ll think about trying someting else tomorrow morning, maybe start a downloaded album on plane mode could be another pertinent scenario
The issue is related to the Android service, there’s something funky about how it handles starting up the service after being killed. It doesn’t happen on all Android versions or devices. But having a reproducible scenario is great! I’ll see if I can find some time to make a test build with some changes this next week.

No… It crashed this morning…
Plus I can’t share the logs because it won’t attached it to my Signal account nore my Gmail, i never had this before
It’s not surprising because nothing around that area changed (yet).
Ok
Now i can’t send logs anymore.
From Plexamp, if if i want to use Gmail to send logs it says that it can’t be attached, if i want to use Signal, it close and go back to Plexamp.
Nothing has changed in that regard on the Plexamp side.
