It would be nice if we could select a checkbox within the settings of a tv show to “always skip intro” so we don’t have to manually skip ahead 30 seconds or a minute or whatever each time a new episode plays.

This is a feature suggestion you can vote for
Plex has the ability to detect intros and show a “Skip Intro” button at the beginning of a TV episode.
The server owner must have a Plex Pass.
The person playing the episode must have a Plex Pass or be in the Plex Home of a Plex Pass holder.
