It would be great to be able to set defaults for all settings for the Plex FireTV app on the Plex Media Server level for Plex Home members. Because I am running the server for my family that live across the US, I receive texts/phone calls when there are issues with streaming to their Plex app on the Fire TV. Usually, it is because the settings in the app for streaming limits, rate refresh, etc. are not set up correctly. It can be hard to walk through those settings with them over the phone since I can’t be there in person all the time. Would it be possible to control those settings at the server level for Smart TV apps? In my case, it is for FireTV, but I could see any platform would benefit from being able to set those remotely and just have them default for them automatically.
There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option for a server admin to push client preferences. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
