Access PMS Library

Hello folks,

 

I'm quite new to channel development so this is probably an easy question for you to answer.

 

Is there a direct way (via an API) to access the library of the PMS or do I have to make XML request to the API myself?

 

If I have to use XML is there anywhere an URL Service available which parses Plex items like http://localhost:32400/library/metadata/73863 directly to a MovieObject or any other predefined object class?
