Account Pin being bypassed when initially signing in with new device

I have added a pin on the Admin Account and made a Managed Account without a pin for my family to use. When I give them my email and password (For ease of access because I don’t want them creating a new Plex account) they are signed into my Admin Account without needing a pin. It seems the pin is only required to get back in if they switch accounts out of the Admin Account.

How do I make the pin required before entering the Admin Account or how do I make the initial signed in account to be a Managed Account?

You can’t.
A managed account is just that. It is managed by the admin. That includes signing in new devices.
Don’t give out your admin credentials. A user who has these can do pretty much anything. The PIN is not really a hurdle. You might as well hand out full access to all media.

So the only way to be safe is for them to create a new Plex account and then for me to send them an invite to access my server libraries?

Correct…

The idea with a managed HOME user is, that’s it’s in your home, so don’t hand out your credentials, instead, go to the next room where the device is, and type in the credentials

Okay, got it. Thank you so much.

Though, technically, I could just create a new Plex account and invite that account to my server and then give out that email and password to my family for them to have a less hassle experience… Right?

Better to have them create their own account, like @OttoKerner already said

Alright, thanks again
