I would personally find it extremely useful to have activity progression for deep analysis displayed in the activity section in the web UI. I have had to run deep analysis manually via the CLI a few times and it would be nice to see that the command is actually working, and when it’s finished. You could also have an option when clicking the 3 dots on an item to be able to run deep analysis manually, there’s already the analyze option, but it’s not enough some times.
For context, I’ve been running into some issues lately with certain 4K remuxes buffering and requiring deep analysis to be run in order to get appropriate bandwidth requirements for smooth playback. I think it would be extremely beneficial to even have a check box option to enable having deep analysis run by default when media is added to specific libraries (Movie libraries made for 4K movies in particular) as opposed to only being run during maintenance windows. I’m not sure if this is already done, but it doesn’t appear to be the case.
