Plex app on Apple TV provides only a fixed set of library views and does not support custom sorting / filtering options that other clients are providing. For example, I usually sort my library of TV shows by air dates grouped by show names in a descending order. That’s a fairly basic operation supported by the most, if not all, other Plex clients including Roku, iOS, Android, web app, and smart TV apps.
This is requested by many users in the past months, but there seems no official request in this forum.
Seconded. Just got an Apple TV, and was looking forward to using Plex on it. Unfortunately scrolling through hundreds of movies to find the recently added movies is not something I look forward to. Without the ability to sort the movie and TV Show list, Plex on Apple TV is unusable, and I will have to go back to using Kodi on my older streamer
How the hell is this not implemented already. Plex really need to get feature parity on there platform. If devs cannot tow the line, get someone else who can.
Edit: like others I used this feature heavily on other players on the platform.
