Please add track genre to the display field list for music tracks in music libraries. I would like to be able to view and sort on this field.
Do you mean a track genre column when displaying a library by tracks (table view)?
You can already filter by track genre using an advanced filter.

The advanced filters option works for my purposes, but I’d still like to display the track genre in the table if possible.
While this is request is under evaluation, I’d also like to be able to display album genre on the album table display view.

I would also like to see this added to the Plex Sonos service by including “By Genre”. And while I’m at it, also add “By Track” so all songs can shuffled easily.
I know the workaround is to create playlists according to these criteria but it would be a lot easier if these functions were built in. Also, having the ability the display the Genre tag/category in the complete Music Library listing would make easy to see which track don’t have tags assigned.

Yes, but you can’t add the Genre tag to the complete Music library list. This would be very helpful in identifying any tracks that don’t have tags. I found when I imported my music a lot of genre information didn’t get copied over and I had to spend a lot of time re-tagging.
