Added date the same for everything (sad face)

Hi all - im not very technical firstly - but my library is now a mess - i did an accidental mass move of files - when trying to play stuff i got “location not found” messages - realised what had happened - put it all back - but now everything is showing as the same date added, i can get it to list by creation date/download date - i have seen instructions for editing files manually - but would like everything in my library to be listed by the date of the file - can i do this somewhere please ?
