I would like a Notes feature to be added so I could do things like add the musicians who played on an album, etc. This would be something that only the end user adding the notes could see, not the entire Plex universe.

Yes but rather than having to name it as a track, I was thinking you could just put one file in the folder so it will display for all tracks. It would be tedious to add, say, 9 separate text files with this information when I only need it in one file.
I put these into the lyrics file of track 1.
