I want to invite someone to my Plex server.
In the Grant Library Access dialog, I paste in their email address.
Plex then shows under Search Result some username which appears random to me. If this person already has a Plex account, I do not know their username, because who thinks in terms of Plex usernames? This person doesn’t remember using Plex so they cannot even verify their own username to me.
And, this dialog is termed “search results,” which makes me wonder exactly how Plex is searching. Is it a fuzzy match? Am I definitely sending an invitation to the email I put in if I hit Continue here?
(I would argue that when we put in an email address, there is no need for a “search results” context and we just operate on that email address. OR, display the email address WITH the Plex username below, in this and other contexts, as we’re all more familiar with friends’ email addresses than Plex usernames, right?)
