After version 5.10.X on android mobile and version 6.1.X on android tv you broke direct play

Your new Quality settings screen and new algorithm of choosing quality broke uhd playback on mobile/tv and cast to chromecast. In this cases server always trying to transcode all high bitrate videos. Please fix it.

I changed the settings and have no issues with transcoding. If you don’t need automatic quality you can disable it. Exactly what needs to be fixed?

I play mkv file with 4K resolution on nvidia shield tv or samsung galaxy s8 and server always try transcode this, but previews version play direct without any problem. why ?

There are quality settings in the Plex client. You can change those settings. Have you experimented with those settings?

The New automatic bitrate settings doesn’t work with direct play, so try turning that off.

Just to confirm, I am also seeing the same issue with 6.1.1, i think 6.1.0 yesterday was working fine.
