Plex already searches for a tonne of information on places like imdb for show info, thumbnails etc.
It would be super cool if plex could also check to see if a new episode or season is out and alert you.
IMDB has the episode list already, I’m sure it could be used to check (even weekly) for new episodes of all your shows.
