Hello Plex Team,
i got problems syncing my music library to my Android phone. The library has about 10.000 items in it. Server and phone are based in the same WLAN. The app on the phone is syncing some items at a time but will crash after a couple of minutes with the message “Plex stopped”. I already reinstalled the app an started the sync again but no luck. Streaming media is fine. Also i was able to sync a smaller library (about 500 items) without any problems.
Any ideas?

Android Plex App v. 5.1.2.271
Plex Media Server 1.2.7.2987 running on i7 / 16gb Ram …
Thanks for the info. According to that, PMS has finished processing (deciding whether it needs transcode or not) and is now just waiting to download all the files to your device.
In your earlier logs I did see that files were being downloaded to your phone, so it’s possible that this is all working and you just need to wait for the job to finish. I was not able to find anything in your logs regarding that stop message. However I see you are running 5.1.2 of the App, which should try to continue if there are problems. In that latest xml you provided, the job you are syncing is at the very bottom and shows itemsDownloadedCount=“2154”. Can you check that URL again and see if this has changed, if so things are working, if it is stuck at 2154, then I’m now sure what is going on since I don’t see any indications of issues.
Yes that sounds plausible,
When i open the app / the sync status on the phone it starts with “Updating information” and then goes to the amount it still has to sync (see screenshot). It transfers a few songs but after a minute or two the app crashes and shuts down. When i open up the app again, it starts again with updating the information.
Can you get me a new log from the Android app right after it stops downloading? I did not see any errors in your previous log. A new log right after the issue manifest may reveal something.
Right now it wont even open the sync status anymore - when i open the app it shows me the content of the server but is quite laggy and then i crashes. I let it crash a couple of times and created two logs (attached)
There was a PMS update a few versions ago that changed some things with Sync that cleared up the problem for most. If you are still having issues, please provide more details and logs.
@“McLovin.” - Sorry. I thought we had solved your issue. The error I had seen in your earlier logs was something that was addressed. The logs would be from the app after hitting the sync button and the PMS log for the same time period. Also, please let me know if the sync job was created from the Android app or from PlexWeb. A change was also made to PlexWeb so if the sync job was an old job that was created from there some time ago, you could try recreating that job using the latest version of PlexWeb.
