Performance with any particular players is not the focus here. Our focus at this time, as I stated above:
We are aware there will be dependencies based on codecs. Can you report the particulars of those codecs you are able to stream and at which bitrates without issues as I requested in my OP above? We are seeking to find the upper limit of what the CPU can provide in real-world use.
There is no hardware transcoding capability at this time. It is unknown whether or not there ever will be. We are trying to obtain the details “How to access it”. With that path not making progress, I’ve been allowed to bring what we currently have to you and start basic “Platform testing”.
As with main PMS, there is no means by which you can turn off transcoding.
