Automatically delete media after watched by *ALL* Home users

I’ve searched until my eyes have started to cross and not found a solution to this anywhere in the forum. Apologies in advance if this is a duplicate request.

I have gone from a single user server where I selected certain Movies & TV episodes to automatically delete a day after watching them. This is a great automation feature. Thank you.

But…

Now I have a multi-user Home setup and would like to be able to specify, as the server’s admin that certain Movies and TV episodes automatically delete one day after they have been watched by ALL Home users. This would save a great deal of time, energy and frustration, having to cross reference three (in my case) different users to figure out what has been viewed by everyone and can be deleted.

I have seen mention through a google search of a python script that can do this, but am reluctant to start bolting on unofficial solutions, only to have them break in a future server update.

I imagine this is a feature that would be useful to a large number of “My Home” admins.

I would be VERY reluctant to allow Plex to automatically delete anything based on multiple users. The reason is that if anything goes wrong whatever get deleted is gone with little or no chance of recovery.

Better would be a system where the files get marked as able to be deleted and a message gets sent to the admin asking to allow the deletion.

Personally i would never want any file on my system to be deleted by Plex but I understand that others are not quite the pack rat I am. There just needs to be LOTS of safeguards if anything like this is implemented.
